Our school currently utilized Computers on Wheels (COWS) for small and whole group technology instruction. The computers currently being used are only a year old and are small notebook Dell computers. They have wireless internet access and basic Microsoft software. These computers must be signed out in advance since they are shared by the entire school and it is typically not possible to keep them for an extended period of time. By adding 2 additional laptops to each classroom, the teachers will be able to integrate technology throughout the school day and also provide enrichment for students who need it. The existing computers are running Microsoft Office 2007 and this will not need to be updated as it is compatible with the newer Microsoft Office 2010 that we will purchase for the new computers.
